Shatrudhan Furnitures was started in 2008 in Saharanpur — India's woodcarving capital. What began as a small two-man workshop has grown into a team of 20 skilled craftsmen serving customers across India and around the world.
Who We Are
A Family Built on Wood
and Craftsmanship
Shatrudhan Furnitures was founded by Ramesh Prasad, a third-generation carpenter whose grandfather learned the craft during the colonial era. Growing up surrounded by the smell of fresh sheesham and the sound of hand planes, Ramesh knew from a young age that he would carry forward this tradition.
Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh has been the heartland of Indian woodcraft for over 200 years. Our workshop sits in the same neighbourhood where master craftsmen have worked for generations, and many of our team members are sons and daughters of those craftsmen.
Today we serve hundreds of families across India every year and regularly ship to the UK, USA, UAE, Singapore, and Australia. We also build full door and window packages for new constructions — from individual homes to apartment complexes and offices. Every piece we make carries the same care and attention as the first table Ramesh built.

What We Stand For
Our Values
Solid Wood Only
We use only genuine solid wood — sheesham, teak, mango, and acacia. Never plywood cores, never MDF, never compromises.
Traditional Joinery
Our craftsmen use mortise-and-tenon joints, dovetail corners, and hand-fitted dowels — centuries-old techniques.
Sustainable Sourcing
We source from certified sustainable plantations and plant two trees for every one we use.

How We Build
From Tree to
Your Home
Timber Selection
Every piece of wood is hand-selected at the yard. We check for grain, moisture content, and hidden knots before purchase.
Seasoning & Drying
Freshly cut wood is air-dried in our yard for a minimum of 6 months before entering the workshop, preventing future warping.
Hand Crafting
Our master craftsmen mark, cut, joint, and assemble each piece by hand. CNC is only used for repetitive cuts.
Sanding & Finishing
Each piece goes through four stages of sanding (60→120→180→220 grit) before the final oil, wax, or lacquer finish.
Quality Check
Every piece is inspected for flatness, joint tightness, finish consistency, and aesthetics before it leaves our workshop.
Packing & Delivery
Furniture is bubble-wrapped, padded with foam corners, and secured in custom-cut wooden crates for safe transit worldwide.
